We at Bethel United Methodist Church firmly believe that as Christians, we have a responsibility to extend the love of Christ to those in need. We work with wonderful groups in the city of Elkhorn and surrounding Walworth County as well. Check out these wonderful folks, and maybe come give a help out as well!

Open Arms Free Clinic

The first and only free medical and supportive care clinic in Walworth County serving low-income and uninsured residents with primary medical, dental, vision, behavioral health, lab and pharmaceutical assistance. You can learn more about them here

Elkhorn Food Pantry

A community-supported source of supplemental food for those in need. Last year they served 468 families! For more info or to volunteer, please call 262-723-6359.

Habitat for Humanity of Walworth County

The local arm of HFH in Walworth County. They are a nonprofit housing organization working locally and in nearly 1,400 communities across the United States and in approximately 70 countries around the world. Habitat’s vision is of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Learn more here

New Beginnings APFV

(Formerly Association for the Prevention of Family Violence) – New Beginnings APFV offers safety planning, support groups, individual counseling, legal advocacy, medical advocacy, housing advocacy, and information and referrals to other relevant community resources. Learn more here.

Twin Oaks Homeless Shelter

Located in Darien WI. In 2018, Twin Oaks guided 189 people (84 of whom were children) on their pathway out of poverty. Twin Oaks also provides a professional case manager who works with residents in resolving their crisis and finding stable housing. Learn more here.

Hope Now Inc.

Provides short-term emergency assistance for housing, utilities, transportation, medical needs and holiday food baskets. They restore hope to people in need. Call 262-723-4711 for more info.
