Bethel United Methodist Church carries a long history of serving within the Elkhorn area.

Ever since Bethel first opened its doors in 1872, families, newlyweds, retirees, new community members, founding families, farmers, business leaders, and so many more have come through our doors and been warmly welcomed into a sanctuary open to ALL.

Our dedicated congregation supports 16 national, statewide, and local missions. We never lose sight of who we are supposed to be: Voices for God’s word, Hands for God’s work, and hearts for God’s Love. We support the projects below.

Elkhorn Community Meal

We both sponsor and work in the Elkhorn Community Meal twice a year. A wonderful event that brings us all together, renews old friendships, and helps establish new ones.

Sunday School

Anyone who has studied the Word of God would know of the love Christ has for children. After all it was Jesus who said:

“He said to them (His disciples), “Whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. For it is the one who is least among you all who is the greatest.” “-Luke 9:48

Thus, it is very important that children feel welcome in our vibrant church community! We have an active Sunday School for the younger amongst us, host inter-generational worship services, and events for the young and old as well. Learn more on our Events page!

CROP Walk for World Hunger

We do CROP walks, which are community events organized by the Church World Service Ministry, a group dedicated to battling hunger across the globe. For over 50 years, these walks have done an incredible amount to combat hunger from the Americas to Asia, and donates many funds to grassroots organizations that also help to do so. Join us sometime!

Offer support for local and global charities.
Here at Elkhorn Bethel UMC, we believe that the love of Christ was meant to be shared by every and all, and that it’s our responsibility to extend that love to the less fortunate among us. If you’re interested in learning more, or maybe helping one of these charities out, take a look at our Missions page.

Elkhorn Bethel United Methodist Church is a member of five churches that comprise Whitewater Area Regional Ministries – WARM for short. Check out the others below.
